i have never knowingly heard a dave matthews band song.

you'd think i would have, but i haven't. i really don't know what they sound like. not at all.

it's tabula rasa moments like this that make me happy i don't watch tv.

I saw them in concert 6 times, back in the day.....all shows were in Texas

Texas Stadium
The Starplex
Lone Star Spead Way (the HORDE Tour)
...and in Austin

I remember one quote he said, at the HORDE Tour concert...funny.

"It's phucking hot out here.......but, it's not too hot to phuck" (Lenny Kravits was also with the tour...he could not finish his set, because it was so hot. Blues Travelor was there and put on a great show as well)

Great shows. Yeah, they can go on with the same song a bit long, but it is nice to know that some bands can still actually play their instruaments.....even without the the misdirection of a good light show.

I guess my favorite DMB songs are.........

1. All Along the Watchtower (Live at Red Rocks, 1995...or 96).
2. Jimmy Thing
3. Say Goodbye
4. Everybody Wake Up (Our Finest Hour)
5. Old Dirt Hill
6. Crash Into Me (of course....great song).
7. Tripping Billies
8. Stay (Wasting Time)
9. Halloween (Live at Luther College with Tim Reynolds...who, by the way
is one of the greatest guitar players...ever).
10. Typical Situation
11. Lover Lay Down

How I miss those days. Perhaps I'll say say "phuck it", spend the money and go see them at The Gorge this year.

I"ll bring a shirt back for one lucky poster.

Stopped listening to/supporting the band after getting ripped off. Dave showed up too drunk to stand at a show in Indiana, slurred his lyrics, stumbled around stage, etc.

Regardless, Drive In Drive Out probably tops the list for me of the stuff I used to listen to.
