Hey Daegu folks,
From now through October, there will be a voter registration table on Wednesday evenings at Commune, a downtown expat bar. Come one, come all. We are Democrats, but Republicans and Independents are also welcome to register. We have the necessary forms and state-by-state registration info.
We are also looking for Democrats interested in joining a Daegu/Gyeongbuk chapter of Democrats Abroad.
We're a long way from the action here in the ROK, but we must never forget Florida in 2000 -- it could be your state that makes the difference this year!
Email me (samhendersonpnu at gmail dot com) for more info or directions. If you can't make it there, I'm happy to arrange to meet you at a more convenient time and place.
PS There are also ongoing voter registration campaigns in Busan and of course Seoul; contact Democrats Abroad ROK for more info. Note that you can also get the necessary forms online, if you are so inclined, at http://votefromabroad.org. |

Glad to hear DA is getting organized in Korea. It seems like there are strong chapters in so many other countries besides this one. |

Way to go globalized... Go Vote!
I think it's wonderful that this is organized and expats can have their say too. And that we have people in the local communities ready to assist. The military always has voter registration as a collateral duty to get out the vote.
Do you have info on how voters who are already registered back in the states to get their absentee ballots? |
