I landed December 26, 2004. I remained in Asia, never stepping foot in Canada until October 20, 2009. I only left Korea to do Visa runs to Fukuoka.
So, what's that? 4 years, 9 months and twenty-some days.
Of course, the culture shock was incredible. I thought 50 percent of Canadians back home would be over weight. Apparently, they were all skinnier than I remembered. Going to the grocery store and hearing 6 or seven different languages and countless English accents was incredible. But I couldn't handle the fact that I could hear and understand everything being said by others around me. ... I didn't want to know. ... I wished they would shut up.
Ahh, back in Korea. All better now.

I came here in September, 2008.

Went to Canada for Xmas in December 2008, then contract renewal (August 2008), then Xmas 2009.

Definitely a mama's boy. Smile

It was only 3ish years for me, and America not Canada. I was quite depressed to see so many stores catering to fatties though.
