|

This, by far, takes the cake. US Homeland Security is writing a bill trying to force air passengers to wear electronic bracelets until they get to their point of destination. Not only does it carry flight and personal information, but it tracks the wearer and his luggage, and also can administer a shock for up to a few minutes.

Besides activation using the grid screen, the steward / stewardess will have a laser activator that can activate any bracelet as needed by simply pointing the laser at the bracelet - that laser dot only needs to be within 10 inches of the bracelet to activate it. |
Grrrreat..... some kid sneaks a laser onto a plane, and..... |

But the point I think is good is what if these people are in control of the bracelets! If they have a bad day, or is a passenger is a jerk, they might take it upon themselves to get back at the annoying guy in seat 14F. |

so the fear of these being used to quash political dissent and set up a KGB-like policing of our everyday doesn't worry you? The problem is the hassle of wearing them and worrying about petty abuses like kids shocking you?
Wait, wati, let me guess...."but I've got nothing to hide. I obey all the laws because they're good." I sure as *beep* would never wear one of those if I were Muslim. Horrible, horrible. With any luck American civil groups will throw a fit and sound the alarm. Like with the stalled bill last year that would have criminalized ALL protests. I wouldn't worry too too much about it going into effect. |

It's as if the Amerikan regime is deliberately trying to provoke some kind of rebellion from its subjects by subjecting them to ever more sadistic and bizzare abuses. However, since most Amerikans are fat, drugged-up cowards they just shrug their flabby shoulders and passively absorb the abuse, so the situation just keeps getting worse. |

I'd give this 2 weeks before: A. Someone manipulates/hacks the system and shocks the hell out of some innocent person and B: The real evil-doers are able to stop it from being triggered by removing it, covering it from the laser or simply stabbing the stewardess to death. |

Nice idea?
Don't think so, technology changes, but do we? Homeland security has a big job, but it still comes down to a simple do we let security rule our lives and take our freedom to give us a false sense of security?
I am sorry, but we can all do what we can to stop the bad guys, but we have to realise that even so, they will succeed at times. So, how much of our freedum do we give away to security, before we realise that the return is diminishing. |

I'm appalled and dismayed that they would consider this hideous idea. They've already been putting ankle bracelets on individuals who are on house arrest for probation infractions and when they 1st get of prison. It's a crap legal system and law enforcement designed to enslave the Americans. I knew something was going wrong all along since I was a child and it bothered me greatly.
In my recent experiences of flying around in the US, they treated us like shite; like prisoners guilty of being illegitimate s just making the choice to fly away. America is just a police state of fear, but it's only great living and lots of fun if you are rich. Everyone focuses on money and riches as the concept to acquiring freedom. Why not have public policy and a decent culture that works for most people without the necessity to be rich? Instead, the Americans are dis empowered and enslaved by their own country system. It's a dam shame and it's well past due that they stand up and fight for their rights to be returned, but they gave up long ago and just sitting around enjoying the food and TV for the time being.
For decades, this concept of focusing on money to acquire freedom in the ridiculous police state has been progressing to ridiculous levels that can and will reach new highs.(lows) At home, the government and the police only want to negatively judge the people, make them fail by imposing all these unreasonable criminal charges on them over petty shite, put everyone on probation, send them to prison for minor infractions, operate the largest gulag of a prison system, and then not help the people to be productive citizens who should be happy and proud to be Americans. There is a huge growing discontent throughout America, especially among those who are not wealthy due to violations of human rights, economic disparities, unfair legal system, and a government that only looking to imprison the people by means of force. The food was designed not only to maximize profits, but to put the people in a zombi like slumber as for them to be controlled cash cows.
Only a tiny % are the upper crust who live with false beliefs that it's all good when it's not, while the world still perceives Americans as the affluent elite leaders due to having shared technology that revolutionized the world with westernization. Eventually the upper crust will lose it all too such as when the dollar collapses and the country has a civil war. The world outside of America, didn't have gas engines, refrigerators, jet planes, safely canned foods, and all this other stuff taken for granted until just a 2 to 3 decades ago. And still so many don't have much and are proactively seeking it. I get the gut feeling that what America has done and is doing is all bad for our world in the long run.
In Korea, these sorts of things are still very new and it is still a developing country with high ambitions who are giving it's citizens more freedoms than the Americans have so the Koreans can be empowered to be productive members of society in getting the enormous job of westernizing done which includes learning, building, and working together while manifesting a great national pride with the belief that the leadership is great and should not be questioned. Ultimately, they have a corrupt leadership who is just stringing them along for a ride will them cost them everything and then some. No social systems are perfect on this Earth and all countries are flawed and end up going through the pains of growth and decline cycles. I'm betting that when Korea is fully developed, then it will increasingly become a police state and people will not have this high sense of national pride any longer.
I do know the world outside America will sternly stand up against these bracelets as well as things like implanted RFID chips. The Europeans will be the first to take a stand in the name of freedom... |
