A simple question -
Is it possible to go to immigration with my current boss and get an exit order, before the date I'm supposed to be leaving this job (in a couple of weeks)?
Would save me a lot of time if this were possible!
Thanks for any help.. |

Yup.... just walk into immigration and tell them that you quit.
You get a 30 day exit order from the last day of work.
If you are referring to a LOR, then that is a different question and answer.

ttompatz, so they post-date the exit order?
chapter, I think you misunderstood.. I want to stay until the date agreed on, just want to start processing my new visa before this one expires. They apparently need the exit order as part of the application process for a new E2 visa.
Appreciate the advice! |

when did they change this? In the last year or so? It used to be only 14 days (for a mid-contract resignation/termination). |
