I've had tremendous success with "English Firsthand 2," but I am starting a new class with the same students soon, and was wondering what texts you have used with your adults that you liked? Also, it would be great if there were an accompanying workbook for homework purposes. Their level is High Intermediate. What do you think?

For my two-hour adult class (with a pretty wide English-level range) I've used Top Notch as the main text.

I generally use it the first (or last) hour of the class and do other stuff (like karaoke and themed-lesson hand-outs) in the remaining time.

It's very well designed and conceived in terms of using examples related to both Korean and American culture, and the "Super CD-Rom" in each student book was described as "fun and interesting" by of one of my students.

There's also a workbook and "Copy-and-Go" activities book available.

Sometimes I've used a book titled something like "Small Group Discussion Topics for Koreans" - which some students like a lot, but is a little too difficult for those with lower-level English skills.

A good suppliment for" Small Group Discussion Topics" Is "Lets Talk" by
Duane Vores it follows a Dear Ann Landers format. For lower level students I would use" Strange Stories in the News" or "Interchange"
