I've checked the Kobus website and I can't find any information on this. I'm thinking of the main bus terminal in Daejeon, but I assume the policy is standard across the country.
Because I'm pretty far from the terminal I don't want to get there late at night to find out the last bus is sold-out, so I'd prefer to buy it the weekend before. Does anyone know how many days in advance you can purchase tickets in person?
Thanks

I've bought tkts a week in advance - don't think it matters much

however, in Seoul now you can't buy them after 6 pm for whatever reason - they have a machine you have to use and then it's all inK - but they will help you with it - BUT again, you also need a K credit card to use it. also on the machine you can only buy out of Seoul not returning.

so go before 6 pm to whichever terminal you're going out of - make a special trip and do it if you're concerned about getting a seat - it's worth it IMO - I did it recently over the June 6th weekend and was SO glad - the lines were huge!! I arrived minutes before my bus was to leave, hopped on and that was that.

Are you really that worried about standing on a bus 3-4 hours? It's part of the experience of living in Korea.

Except for the busy Chuseok or Seollal periods you should be fine. Don't sweat it.

Airport shuttles, even those in the wee hours of the night, can sell out far in advance in peak travel seasons. I always buy those tickets a few days in advance.

don't know what you are talking about - only seats are sold on cross-country buses, not standing room.

and why would anyone want to stand for 3-4 hours? that's nuts.
