Atlanta in the mid '80's. Played at the Wreck room. I think it was the Murder Junkies backing him. I just remember Merle pissed the whole time. Anyways he was at the bar, then outside then came in naked. Pissed on the floor, threw a bottle of something. Played a few songs, threw a punch at the wrong skin. Brawl ensued. Then while he was getting his ass handed to him he still tried to sing and held on to the mic. Bottles where flying everywhere, it was awsome. He finally did another song or two then the whole place went up. Got word the police were in route so we took off. |

GG never came to my town. I don't think I would've gone to see him anyway. I wouldn't have wanted inbred's poop getting into my awesome Cory Hart weave.
I was surprised to see he lived to be 36! I just looked him up on the wiki...I thought he died back in the '80's, but no. |

2 gg allin memories. none that involve seeing him live.
1. working in a sort of halfway house for drug addicts/mentally ill, many living with AIDS. i bring in a cd of 700 or so mp3s to put on the computer for long night shifts. i neglect to notice that i've put the song "i have AIDS 'cause i get laid every day" on the computer.
most of my coworkers were super PC lesbians and hippies. a note went in the log that rammed home the notion that those people have no way of divorcing humor from real life.
2. watching "hated" was the only time a film or TV show has made me gag. |
