Ok I bought a new hard drive and want to load windows xp onto the drive.
I have a copy of windows xp on cd. I do not have an A: drive. i've done this years ago but I'm a bit lost now. I know how to set the jumpers for master drive but I am a bit confused as to which IDE plug I use, The first or last EX- Hard drive line from mainboard to hard drive. I will only be using one hard drive. Thanks

Do you have an existing installation of XP that you want to transfer onto this new drive?
If not, then it should be just a standard install, no?
