Yesterday when I was near Children's Grand Park in Seoul, I got a delightful surprise in the local 7-Eleven.
They had big gulps!!!!
I promptly put back the bottle of Coke I was going to buy and got a big gulp. It was almost a litre and it cost a mere 800 won.
It's the first step for 7-Eleven to bring back slurpees (which I hear used to be sold in Korea).
I urge everyone to support this when possible. If not, it'll go the way of everything else foreign in Korea. It will disappear and 7-Eleven will be yet another cookie cutter convenience store. |

Kept going to On The Border and Choi's Tacos in Sinchon hoping that the Tacos gods of Korea would notice my diligence and give us a Taco Bell outside of a military post... I mean come on, Koreans are already pretty big on Fourthmeal as it is right?
Now, Slurpees in Korea... that'd a be a wet dream come true on so many levels. |

What's so wrong with a guy wishing for a little taste of home while on the other side of the world and trying to rally people to the cause of spreading slURPEE LOVE? |

Do you drink regular or sugar free?
Do they even have sugar free?
Korea desperately needs more diet drinks.
Have you noticed the Korean women are starting to blimp out? And there are plenty of boys getting chubby.
Is it my imagination, or have some Koreans started to expand rapidly in the past year?
When they do, Koreans are going to blame America, of course, rather than themselves for eating garbage, and not just Western garbage.
But no one seems to be teaching them the basics of nutrition. All I can gather is they are told "fast food is bad," defining "fast food" as "food that is prepared quickly."
And what are these kids eating in between school and hagwon? Utter junk, many of them.
Korea is clueless.

They had pepsi and cider and one or two more. That miranda orange.
The largest was a big gulp, and it's about 1 litre or slightly less.
Ah yankee land. A standard gyopo insult. Alas, I am not American. |

Hehe, no worries. Figured as much. Was just givin' Ilsanman a little friendly support at any rate. I myself am currently back home taking care of my last year of Uni classes. Hoping to come on back after graduation next spring. I miss my daily 한강 자전거 rides... |

It's not quite 8am and I could use a SLURPEE right now. I think it's going to be a nasty hot humid day today. A slurpee or two would go down well. |
