"This is ****, head recruiter of ILE.

I called you and left a message. As mentioned in my voice mail when a job applicant withdraw from the EPIK program we need to summarize why you withdraw the program etc. and send a message/report to the office. As you may aware (this should have been discussed with Terry earlier) , if you withdraw from the program without reasonable cause/excuse you will not be allowed to apply the program again in the future time. Please let me know the best time I can get a hold of you so that we can have the final talk. I have been in this filed for 14 years and I used to place teachers to Yeosu Office of Education and know the officials down there very well. If I find you are not a good character I will have to forward my comment to the office. Please remember public schools in Korea are all connected each other and you need to be responsible, respectable and should be able to exercise due diligence. If I do not hear from you in a reasonable time frame I will have to take necessary steps."

So I'm not allowed to drop out of EPIK? I told the person I dealt with that I had to take the sooner job in Yeosu...

He just lost his commission ... he will say anything.
Unless you actually received a NOA or have a visa there is NO risk.

Take the job of your choice.

Ok. I don't have any forms from EPIK. I only got an email saying I'd been accepted and that I should send in my documents. Of course I won't because I'm in Korea and started my job.

If they have no (hard copy) documents then he is blowing smoke out his butt.
Ignore him and get on with your life.

What an arse. There is no rule about applying to more than one program in Korea. (Except if you apply to EPIK with more than one recruiter).

If you have already started your job, he can't do anything. If you hadn't started yet, he might be able to call them up and make up some nonsense about you and scare off a potential employer. But, if you're already there, don't worry about it.

He can't mess with your visa either. Carry on!
