Are you leaving Korea and leaving VOIP behind? I would like to buy your Vonage unit. I miss talking to friends and family and they are too computer illiterate to get on Skype.
Also, how has your experience with VOIP been in Korea? I am NOT living on base (I know that the US miliary personnel have had considerable trouble with the network blocking Vonage). How has Vonage worked/not worked for you? Anny information is appreciated
(NOTE: This posting is for my coworker and if you could please alert me of your email if you are interested, I will gladly pass the information along).
Thanks |

I have been using Magicjack here in Seoul and it seems to work great. I've been using it for about 6 months and no complaints. $20 for a years service, you get a phone number in the states, and unlimited calling to anywhere in North America, or anywhere anyone else has a magicjack. I picked mine up on ebay, but you can order directly from the site also.

| I am currently using a Linksys (Vonage branded) router with VOIP port. I can sell it to you in this week for 30K Won. It has Wifi+ 4 ethernet ports + Voip port. |

| I also use magic jack. It is awesome and you use a phone rather than a microphone and headphones or a headset although you can do that if you want. It is 20 dollars US for the equipment and 20 dollars US for a year of service that includes free calling to the US and Canada as well as very cheap rates to other countries. I have had no problems with it at all. You get a voicemail box included with your contract. In order to renew for another year it is only 20 dollars. If i am correct Skype and Vonage are 20-25 dollars a month so magic jack is a great deal, and you get a local number back home so it doesnt cost your friends and family anything other than cell phone minutes (which most people have plenty of) to call you! Its awesome and I highly recommend it. check out www.magicjack.com for more information, you wont be dissapointed. |
