Hi guys, I already posted this in an existing thread in the travel forum, but it's probably not the best place and I haven't got any replies. So here it is again.
I'm coming to Jeju Island by myself on Friday 2nd July, and will be going diving on Saturday the 3rd. Therefore, I'll be staying overnight in Seogwipo on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd. I'd love some people to hang out with so I'm not sitting in my hotel room alone. I'd particularly like to go out for black pig sam gyeop sal on one of those nights. I'm happy to hear from Koreans or other foreigners.
A little about me: Australian, female, 31. I love to socialise and drink, though if we go out Friday night I won't be able to go overboard seeing I have to be at the dive shop at 9am the next day (though I have often been know to use the phrase "famous last words" in these kinds of situations!).
If anyone wants to hang out PM me or reply here. Hope to hear from some Jeju-ers! |

bump!
C'mon... no one wants to hang out with me...sigh...I'm good fun, I promise!
Can anyone at least recommend a bar in Seogwipo that would be a good place to meet some people to hang out with for the night? I'm happy to meet Koreans or foreigners. |

I would Ruthdes. Honest! But I was there just a few weeks ago. It wasn't crowded then. Great weather, huge stress relief, excellent beach below the Hyatt. I hope it isn't too crowded for you.
You could go to Gecko's which isn't far from Jungmun beach. In Jeju city, the Baghdad cafe has good Indian food and a nice atmosphere. It is in the heart of the night district, near the post office.
Have fun!
By the way, the view from the terrace at the Hyatt is worth an expensive pot of tea and a snack. Great place to relax and enjoy the view.
Post a link if you take any photos of the diving. |

Thanks for the reply and the recommendations Arthur Dent. I'll definitely give them a try.
Do you or anyone else know if it's worth getting a bus/taxi to Jungmun from Seogwipo for the night? Or are there cool places in Seogwipo that I can walk back to my hotel from? |
