"We can send 15,000 more troops, 20,000 more troops, 30,000 more troops. I don't know any expert on the region or any military officer that I've spoken to privately, that believes that is going to make a substantial difference on the situation on the ground."

-Barack Obama

Here's a free tip from me Obama. Get some new experts on the region, and some new military officers. Bush, General Patraeus, and a slew of other people backed the surge.

Who cares. This is almost over anyways.

China has paid for this war and the gravy train is about to abruptly stop. Time for America to become a normal country.

The World should care. Obama was CLEARLY in favor of withdrawing from Iraq. "Cut and Run" if I may. People want this guy as President? Someone who says, "Yeah, its too hard. Lets just give up."

Laughing Yup.

FYI pkang, Obama has acknowledged the surge has worked. Have you not been reading the news? "Progressives" are worried about Obama's change of position on Iraq.

And who is to say that clip isn't out of context? Perhaps Obama also said, "What is more important is a change of strategy. Presently what we're doing isn't working. It doesn't matter if you add...... "

Obama isn't owned here at all. His campaign manager does look silly. Oh well, that's politics for you.

Bush's dogged stubbornness re: the surge is to be commended. Everyone misunderestimated him. Laughing

America's reason for being the in Middle East is protecting the Greater Saudi oil supply. Any withdrawal from Iraq will entail some understanding, tacit, strategic, or explict, but hopefully at least two of the previous three, that America's oil supply is not to be threatened.

Obama sees this, and he is not going to give up Iraq unless he gets the right agreements and concessions. Good for him.

Of course he has to acknowledge it is working. Everyone in the world would call him an idiot if he didn't.

Was it the "surge" or the handing out money to guys that previously were killing that's working??

Anyways, the outcome of the war is the raiding of the American Treasury. That sure as shit is working.
