okay i know this has been covered to no end, but at the end of the day im still confused....
to extend the visa (renew for another year) do i need to bring crc and health check to immigration? or do i just need to bring those things when i want to get a new arc??
is it possible to extend visa without those two documents and then submit them later when appyling for new arc??? |

If you "extend your visa" (actually, extend your sojourn), you don't get a new ARC. The new dates are written on the back of your current ARC.
You need to provide a CRC and health check to extend your sojourn. The only exception is if got your visa after 2007.12.15, in which case you've already provided these to Immi. Otherwise, it is NOT possible to extend without the health check and CRC. |

You should contact the local immi office since each immi office will tell you different rules.
10 immi office = 10 different answers. |

I'd be safe and stick to what Ut videam said. That was my whole understanding when I got a 2 month extension back in May (I had to provide the CRC and the MC to get it). |

Like ramen wrote, everyone will give you a different answer, but i can tell you that my visa ran out on the 1st of July, immi was informed around the end of june that i would be staying longer, and i also told them that i wasnt able to get my stuff done in time they said no probs i have 2 weeks to do it, but then i told them a week later maybe that wont do, so they said ok i have until july 25th to do it, so for me, i was given an extension although they didnt actually change anything on my ARC until i handed everything in-which im sure was a bit dodgy, but it has apparently all worked out... |

True... unless one is with EPIK. Then no CRC or health check is required. However, one must submit the lab results of the TBPE and HIV tests when applying to extend their period of sojourn. |
