I got some time off last-minute and wanna head to Thailand in two weeks.

Unfortunately, it's the peak season so plane tix are sold out.

There's got to be somewhere I can find two tickets for a week-long stay. Any help would be massively appreciated.

You can find tickets, but you gotta pay up the ass. You want Cheap tickets?? Ain't going to happen unless you camp out at the airport and hope someone cancels.

If you are willing to pay $1100 US return, then go to amadeus.net and click on best fares. There is one on Air Macau (Incheon-Macau-BKK-Macau-Incheon) for that price in about 2 weeks.

You can also try routing via HK or Taipei (Cathay or EVA) - mid day flights usually have seats.

If you can get a flight to Clark (northern Phils - they usually don't sell out) you can catch one of the discount carriers heading south as well.

Go to Singapore and u can get flight on discount Thai carrier from there. Either that or wait till after 15 Aug, end of peak season when the fares go down.

I want to see if I can get a visa into china from Hk so I am flying into Hk. I called last minute direct to Cathay pacific and was quoted 63700 to Thailand. I can stop in Hk and if I cannot get a chinese visa I can just continue onto Thailand. I called and there is plently of seats. So not sure why people are having trouble finding tickets.

Because there are no tickets left on the "direct, non-stop" flights and there are damn few cheap seats left. Most are full fare tickets.

You CAN get a visa into China from HK.

You used to be able to get them right at the frontier (border crossing).

With the changes and restrictions now due to the Olympics I am NOT sure if that is still the case but I assume it is since both are Chinese soil (just that HK is a special administrative district).
