I've got a pretty expensive Philips shaver from North America that I was running with a voltage adapter. It looks like the plug/cord is fried though.
Philips shaving products are everywhere (e-mart, homeplus, lotte) but none of them have just the plugs/cords for sale. Is there a Philips specialty shop anywhere--perhaps Yongsan? |

I saw a Philips store - looked pretty large - on a taxi ride over Namsan somewhere on the route between the cable car station and the Hyatt hotel. Couldn't find it again but perhaps someone remebers the bus line that passes by. |

UPDATE:
Found the store by coincidence today. Take bus #402 and get off at Namsan Gymnasium stop. The shop is on the downhill side of the road (this is the road that runs from Millenium Seoul Hilton to Hyatt around Namsan) about 50 meters from the stop. You need to walk towards the Namdaemun direction.
The Hyatt stop is one before that (coming from Itaewon area). |

You're welcome and I hope you find what you need there. I haven't had time to look inside yet but from the store window it looks like they are selling appliances and lamps of Philips (there's a huge Philips sign on the front, too).
If you don't mind when you get there, could you take a look if they are selling a special kind of light there. I only ever saw this in Germany last year and I cannot even find it on the Philips website. This is an LED lamp that can display 65,535 or so colours, about the size of a volley ball, and meant to be put on the floor, behind a couch etc., to set the mood. Basically the Ambilight principle of the Philps TV.
The price in Germany was 100 or 150 Euros but they were too heavy to take with me (okay, also expensive but setting the mood can pay off in many other ways). |

Found a Philips Service Centre today.
From Itaewon go over banpo bridge and then over the flyover.
Take a right at the junction and its about 800 Metres along that road on the left hand side. |
