I've never been a Playstation fan. Never owned one, went from a Nintendo childhood to an Xbox adulthood (though some would argue I've never grown up).

However, the one thing that always made me all envious was the fact that PS owners got the pleasure of the finest RPGs made by Square. Without a doubt, RPGs are my favourite genre and the Xbox selection has always been a bit poor, on the original and 360. I've been able to play through all the Final Fantasy games, thanks to always knowing someone with a Playstation (expect FF9, but that looked pish) but after enjoying the likes of Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana on the SNES, I've always missed having a great selection of RPGs on my own console.

But! Now, thanks the RPG gods, Square-Enix is all signed up to the Xbox 360 and between now and the start of 2009, they are producing three brand new spanking RPGs for the Xbox 360. Later, even Final Fantasy 13 will get a 360 release.

The first is "Infinite Undiscovery" (got to love these names). It'll be out September 2nd in a simultaneous worldwide release.

Next, "The Last Remnant" due to come out sometime around November.

Finally, "Star Ocean: The Last Hope", which is scheduled for 2009.

There are other RPGs coming out too, non-Square ones, but these are the ones I'm really excited about...well, not so much Star Ocean...it's the final one of a series I've never played before.

So, are any other Xbox owners apart from me squirming in delight at this barrage of (what should be) quality RPGs coming our way? Now that Square-Enix has finally jumped on the Xbox bandwagon, we should be able to expect some great RPGs coming our way regularly. Woo!

I forgot to mention the non-Square game that possibly has me even more excited...Fable 2!

Plus, soon there will be Too Human, Borderlands and Tales of Vesperia...maybe a little more action-rpg than rpg but still...good time to be an Xbox 360 owner if you like story-driven games...
