Small heads up to any single white male traveler entering the USA from Asia, especially if you're on a flight that has been hubbed from SE Asia (NorthWest for example hubs in Tokyo, putting passengers from Korea, Thailand, etc on the same plane). To wit, you might meet the profile of a sex tourist and your laptop might be subject to a search. Clear off any photos of your k-girl. Hell, clear off any photos you might have of your students. Err let me phrase that better. The photos you've taken of your kids in class or on field trips to show your friends and family, even if taken with the most innocent of intentions, might make some Captain Hammer hopeful wonder why a 30something white male with no teaching degree has such photos.

Land of the free. USA! USA! USA!

I don't agree that your girlfriend's pictures should be taken off. I guess if you have a 22 year year old girl that looks like she's under 18, and the pictures are nudes.

And why would pictures of your students at school or on a field trip be suspicious? I guess in the paranoid world we live in, but I don't have a problem explaining why I have a picture of me and my students together in a classroom.

"Can you explain this picture, sir?"
"Yes. That's Min-Soo and is his painting of a waterfall."
"You're gonna have to come with us to interrogation."
"I assume you don't like waterfalls."
"That's right."
