Is it just me or do your white clothes come out of the wash with orange stains on them? I've tried adding bleach but the orange stains still appear. Is it rust in the lines that are causing these stains? |

Bleach bad... and yes, it sounds like rust stains to me. Or from hard water?

Rust: Soak fabric spotted with brown rust stains (which sometimes come from hard water) in a solution of 1 part lemon juice and 1 part water for at least 30 minutes. Do not use chlorine bleach on rust stains.

I always did my color loads first on laundry day, just to have the machine rinsed out before I did the whites; in case there was some rust lingering in their somewhere from last laundry day.

Thanks! Oops on the bleach part. I'll try soaking them tonight and hope for the best. |
