Has anybody heard of this program it is called Hanmi English Educational Services and apparently you only have to work for 3 hours a day in afterschool programs at public schools. This doesn't include any housing, airfare, health insurance, or pension. I currently work for EPIK and only make 2.1 but have to be at the school for 8 hours a day. I was told I would get an E2 visa with this after school program.
I did a search on Dave's but no luck...... |

After you take the cost of the bolded items out and subtract it from 2.5 million, you are going to make a lot less than 2.1 million...unless you want to live in a dump. Besides which pension and health insurance are mandatory, so this program is illegal. Plus it very likely won't include severance pay either.
Do you trust illegal employers to pay you? |

See if they will allow you to get another job added to your E2. That way you could find a morning position at a kindergarten or some place like Wall Street Institute teaching adults. Even if you're paying for your own housing, there's no reason why you couldn't pull in at least 4.0 working both jobs, and you'd be working about the same amount of hours that you're working now in EPIK. |

If you want another job, it better be a public school or you can't do it.
According to Immigration, you can add a public school or university to your E2 visa but not a private school. So if you want to work mornings or evenings at WSI for example, get them to sponsor your visa and add the afternoon public school with Hanmi or whatever.
Why does Immigration have this strange and seemingly arbitrary rule? Because they're Immigration, and that's what they do. |

Yes, WSI will probably give you permission to work for an employer who partakes in illegal activity. Heck, I'm sure they probably do as well if you let them.
Hanmi will probably consider you as an "Independent Contractor" which makes you responsible for filing your taxes and paying higher tax rates. If you call the English tax phone line and complain the woman might tell you to file a complaint in court like she did to me. Hanmi will probably not pay pension, severance, and maybe even health insurance? |

I know that they will not provide any benefits and will pay 2.5 but what I like about it is that I only have to work 3 hours a day....
Since it seems as though no knows about this program do you know of any others that offer this amount of hours with more benefits and a visa? |

why would you bother with this program if they don't offer any benefits?
there are plenty of other jobs out there that do and pay around the same amount.
Have a look on Dave's job listing. |
