|
|
My visa number is about to be released but my school don't need me until the end of August . (It was previously arranged that I should come out by the end of July.) If I can't change this but wish to travel to Korea sooner is there any way I can get the Visa changed to the name of a new school if I can get one?

If you don't have a visa yet, I believe you would have to have you new school apply to sponsor you and get a new visa number (or Letter of Appointment if it's a public school). |

The visa number you are about to get is 'active ' for 90 days and cant be changed or given anywhere else until 90 days expires. You are stuck with that school until then |

Yes... so get the first visa sponsorship cancelled before a visa number is issued. |

This is kind of hi jacking, but does it matter if you change your surname whilst in the middle of a visa? Do you need to change it on your arc or will there really be no problems? Thanks. |

When your employer submits your doc to immigration, the name on your passport must match your diploma name, or you may have to provide marriage license, change of name papers etc.
Then you must enter Korea with this same passport the visa was issued in. It would be crazy to change your name on any official documents right in the middle of a visa process. |

If your name changes (due to marriage, I'm assuming) you are supposed to report the change to Immi within 14 days of the change. The application is called "change of information on alien registration." You'll need your passport, ARC, application form (available at Immi), and supporting documents for the change of information. |
