7 Injured As Helicopter Crashes North of Seoul
A helicopter carrying 16 people, including Unification Church founder Moon Sun-myung and his wife, made an emergency landing in Gapyeong, north of Seoul, Saturday afternoon, injuring seven people, Yonhap News reported.
The injured seven were taken to a nearby hospital and the other nine people onboard were reportedly safe.
The accident took place near a hospital in Gapyeong, 60 kilometers north of Seoul, around 5:20 p.m.
The helicopter, which had left Jamsil, southeastern Seoul, toward Gapyeong, made an emergency landing, fuming black smoke, due to mechanical malfunctioning. The helicopter burst into flames soon after the people onboard escaped.
Police said the casualties were minimized as boughs and branches functioned as a buffer against landing.

SEOUL, South Korea - A helicopter carrying the Reverend Sun Myung Moon has crashed into a mountain in South Korea, injuring the founder of the Unification Church and 13 others.
A fire official says Moon was slightly injured but his exact condition was not known.
Members of Moon's family, including his wife, were also hurt. One person was reported to be seriously injured.
The helicopter was carrying 16 people to a church affiliated hospital when it crashed in Gapyeong, about 60 kilometres northeast of Seoul, and burst into flames after hitting the ground according to a church official.
Moon founded the Seoul-based Unification Church in the 1950s and the conservative Washington Times newspaper in 1982.
The church's doctrine is a mixture of Christian, Confucian and traditional Korean values, and Moon's followers believe he came into the world to complete the work of Jesus |

His escape will be viewed as a divine providence of his invincibility.
Was he on his way to his private jet to go see the Pope maybe? A meeting not to be? |

I'm still wondering what Moonie was in town for... visiting family, pleasure, or business? |
