In November, a Korean teacher ordered an electric mat/blanket type on gmarket. It was 12,000 and I paid her for it. I loved it as it kept me warm during the cold winter. The teacher left in March.

I'm going home soon and I want to buy one for my parents. I have used Korean dictionaries to translate electric mat/blanket and searched it on gmarket. I went through 20 pages of results and haven't found anything slightly similar or either too expensive (200,000).

Can someone please help me out?? Anyone have a direct link?? Thanks!

Pretty sure if you just go to Emart, look around, you can find one for 20,000 won

Feasible option if I lived anywhere close to an Emart. I'm all the way in the sticks.

Well, it's 220v here. And 110v back home. Isn't it a bit more of a pain to find a 220v outlet? I didn't know you could easily upconvert from 110v to 220v.

The simple converters actually have a small built in transformer chip. I have searched high and low for them here and my friend found one in the States when he was doing some shopping. I think he was at Radio Shack or something like that when he found it. He only paid $5.95 for it and it saved him a lot of hassles with bringing things back and forth between Korean and the USA.

Also, I just asked my wife to tell me what the Hangul for you to use when searching G-Market. Here is what you should type in and that will return you a whole variety of mats if they are currently available.

일윌 휠토 매트

This should do the trick for you. Just copy and paste the Hangul into the search bar for G-Market. Good luck. Smile

I'll ask my wife to do a quick search and see what she can find for you, then I'll post the links.
