Go to http://www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html and put in the date you joined. Divide your post count by the number of days you have been a member. For instance I have been a member since 15 March 2006 so thats 860 days. I have made 130 posts, so 130 posts / 860 days = .15

Another example is Spliff who is at 3.6 Laughing

If you look around you'll see there are some people in the 5 to 6 a day range. I suggest the following scale be used.

0 to 1: BLUE Everythings gonna be OK
>1 to <3: YELLOW You are in serious danger! Stop while you still can!
>3 to <5: RED Bitter and vitriolic, you vomit forth bile and hate. No hope for you!
>5 : ULTRAVIOLET: Someone who checks ESLCAFE between classes and hurries home after school to their ramen cup and soju bottle stacked rathole to split screen their latest "Everyone look how jaded, bitter and hateful I can be while attempting cleverness!" with some really dirty porn.

Where are you? Cool

There should be a number 6 - When you begin to empirically analyze posters on Dave's/

In my defense, seeing as how I'm "in the yellow", I am a binge-poster. Show up now and then to post, some days I just read what others have posted, other days I don't check the site.

I'd guess that style is the norm for many others here, too.

2.18 posts per day. I'm yellow.

968 posts / 442 days = 2.18.

Hmm. In my defence, I'm a binge-poster as well. I hardly ever post on weekends or weeknights, and last year I didn't post much at all (maybe once a day). Since I started working at a PS, there have been days with no classes that I have came on here for an hour and posted twenty or thirty times.

I have had about five days at work with no classes which have been like that, and on regular days at PS I make about five to ten posts.

Before I worked here, I'd say my number would be in the 1.0-1.5 range.

Crafty excuses are my specialty!

Hehe. A "see how addicted you are to Dave's ESL Cafe" post. I love it. Brilliant.

My ratio is 0.74.

Phewf... I'm blue, so I'm not totally lost! Good to know my soul is still intact...

Now I'm going to take some women's magazine quizzes for further insight on myself.

Mine's been to hell and back a couple times. Got kicked out both times.

It's funny this average isn't shown in the profile. Many phpBBs have that option configured to add post totals automatically. Not that I'm complaining, I actually found it refreshing that Dave's doesn't play up this egotistical bs.

Razz and that's what I think about statistics.
