|
|
A friend of mine is trying to send a really rare video to me. He's not super computer literate though. It's an dvd rip and is 1.2 gigs in size.
I figured the best way would be for him to put it on megaupload for me to download but he says it's too big. Is there someway that he can easily split the file and the upload it in 2 parts? Is there another good way that's easy? |

Gsplit is a good, free joining/splitting software. I've used it many times.
ps- Daum email accounts can send HUGE files! |

winrar can split files into as many as you need. just select what size you need (doesn't actually split it but the effect is the same) |

An instant messenger is a great way, if you can both arrange to be online at the same time. Otherwise, I'd suggest an account at Adrive.com. It give up to 50 gigs of storage, and files can be up to.... 2 gigs each, I think. Just create an account, and give your friend the username/pw. He can upload it, you can download it. |
