|
|
I believe my hagwon to be not doing so well financally. I would not be suprised if in the next few months they went under.
They are unable to pay wages on time or in accordance with my contract.
At this point in time they owe me two months pay. One months which has been owed to me for a few months.
As of this month the other teachers have not been paid. There is a promise of payment this up coming Friday. - We will wait and see... (-_-)
As a result I have resigned. Though I must serve out a 60 day in accordance to my contract.
But the real question I wish to ask is...
Is there anyway I can get my contract disolved?
What happens if they go under? What can I do? Can I claim any of my pay?
Also who can I go to for help?
A little lost and confused at this moment. Any advice would be
appreciated. |

oh man, bad scene
how many months of your contract have you worked so far?
I'd go discretely to a few korean teachers and, if possible, the secretary and ask if they think the school is going to die.
If they think it is possible, then go to your boss and explain that you won't be coming in to work until you get paid in full. Use the resulting free-time to look for another job. |
