| If I were to work for the same school for only 4 months every year, is it possible for my emplyer to extend my visa while I am out of the country? And would my prolonged 'vacation' cause any problems with immigration? |

| I think your idle time would be viewed as a hellaciously long vacation and nothing more. As long as all the legal requirements are satisfied, I'd think you could come here and work for only one day and be fine on a year-long. As long as your employer does what he's supposed to, and he would be if you're able to get your visa and alien card (ARC). This also assumes your employer doesn't fire you and/or cancel your visa during your break. |
