For those of you who use software firewalls, this is a good one, and it's free. Frankly, Ive been using it for some time with my Vistax64 install (there is a native 64-bit version as well), and I can testify as to it's effectiveness and relative ease of use.
It behaves much like ZA Pro used to, but it has simpler allow/block permissions. It does nag you for the first while as it learns, but once you get it set up, its silent and powerful.

Really folks...this is quality software.
PS: Sorry to make a new thread for this alone, but I couldn't be bothered to dig up that old freeware thread. Besides, I think this is a rare, high-quality offering. |

I use Comodo as well, it's great.
I actually used to use Zonealarm Pro, but the interface and the way the software works is crap. Not to mention it screwed up my Internet with the last Microsoft patch. Horrible, I'll never do business with those morons ever again. |
