I'm looking at a contract right now for maximum 30 hrs and classes per week (yeah right). From mildly paying attention to everyone here in regards to how many classes/hours they teach a week, is this way too much? For some reason I have this notion that 25 classes a week was considered the max that anyone would really want to teach?

Of course I searched....and of course the search function sucks, so I'm asking here: does this seem like a lot or is it pretty standard for a hagwon? What does everyone else work?

At a public school - a teaching hour is 40 - 50 minutes depending on grade, and you'll generally only teach 22 teaching hours

Hakwons tend to pull an actual time of 30 hours - which could be something along the lines of 40 x 45 minute classes a week - or worse (probably - can't be bothered trying to run the numbers)
