| hi, i'm spending a few months in shanghai and then i have a free week (in december) before i go home; can anyone recommend any relaxed, sunny place that can be reached via budget airlines from either pudong or hangzhou airports? |

Two things come to mind:
Air Asia X flies Hangzhou to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). A bit boring and predictable, but cheap and with good onward connections to anywhere in SE Asia.
Air India flies Shanghai to Delhi/Mumbai. Not too expensive, but then again India may not be the *relaxed* destination you are after. |
