No such thing as 34 bit windows, and the 8400 is not what you'd consider a high end graphics card by any stretch of the imagination. Still a million times better than integrated graphics, but to call this a "true grade gaming machine" in the day and age of $600 graphic cards is laughable. |

The graphics card meets the requirement of GEARS OF WAR, a high graphics game.
Requirements for GEARS OF WAR:
NVIDIA GeForce 6600+
My 6800 is pretty high end, although the new ones are better. |

You won't be able to sell it for 600 on ebay.
Look at all the other laptops at buy it now around $600.
Especially a 75gb HD? That's a huge down factor.
You can even get a 17" with your specifications.
You should always check your "competition" on eBay before listing. It's not your own world where people think like you do.
Look at this DV6500 for sale now:
http://cgi.ebay.com/HP-Pavilion-DV6000-Laptop-DV6500-1-5GHZ_W0QQitemZ290254183759QQihZ019QQcategoryZ177QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It has 1GB of Ram, but Intel T5250 Dual Core and 25GB more space on HD. It's only $475 including shipping. For a 1 GB ram upgrade, it costs not even $20.
So $500 for a laptop that's better than yours.
It's not guaranteed someone will buy this, I can bet it won't sell unless he lowers his price $50.
So assuming that's true, a whopping $450 to buy his laptop and upgrade ram.
If you search Completed listings, you can see DV6500 go for $350-450 without shipping.
If you put your laptop up as an auction, I can honestly say you will only reach $350 without shipping costs. Your HD is a huge turn-off.
Here's a link to Buy It Now, $500-$600, 2gb ram eBay laptop search, choose your screen size 15" or 17".

Listing on eBay means you're selling to the U.S., where they can buy from the HP site.
For $600 you can buy BRAND NEW:
 AMD Athlon(TM) X2 Dual-Core Processor for Notebook PCs QL-60 (1.9GHz
 2GB Ram
 ATI Radeon(TM) HD 3200 Graphics
250GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
 SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW
Or for $50-100 more you can get a better processor/gfx card.
If you want to go Intel (the better gaming choice), for less than $100 more you can get a brand new laptop with Intel Dual Core and 8400 geforce gfx (the one you have). And 160gb HD.
On eBay, you can get better prices.
Or this for $500 brand new Compaq on HP, cheaper than yours, even after tax is applied.
 AMD Athlon(TM) X2 Dual-Core Processor for Notebook PCs QL-60 (1.9GHz)
 15.4" diagonal WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800)
 2GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
 NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G
 120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
There are way too many choices for BRAND NEW for $600.
Even in Korea in Yongsan I'Park Mall. |

There is no reason to argue with him anymore. Just let him find out for himself that he won't be able to sell it at this price unless he is extremely lucky. |

The links you provided are inaccurate. The first one shows a HP dv6500 with a Core Duo Proc., not a Core 2 Duo. That's why it is cheap. Your second link doesn't even provide a machine's specs, it just shows a list of computers with various specs.
So, I've provided a machine with the almost identical specs, selling on amazon. This unit has a 120gb hard drive. Mine has 80gb (5 dedicated).
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0014H8FT6/ref=dp_olp_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1219667259&sr=1-2
$800 for a refurbished unit.
I realize not everyone is cut out for academia - but you have to show machines with similiar specs, and the processor and graphics cards should be the same! |

Just curious: how much do these ebay sellers that everyone is so excited to quote prices from charge for shipping to Korea? And what are the duties on electronics these days?
Of course, if any of you spliffers out there are offering to courier/smuggle gear from the states for free, I'd be glad to email you my shopping list . . . . |

It's pointless to even try to judge the value of this system when all the specs are wrong.
AMD Core 2? 34 bit Windows? Neither even exist... |

It is also pointless to debate it now considering it has been sold. |

i had sold it but the buyer listened to the misinfo; defective graphics card, slow graphics card, $500 price.
enough reactionaries to go around, no doubt. |
