Hey all--

Just out of curiosity, what are demographics of the SMOE teachers? Are they mostly recent college grads? Older folks? American? British? Etc.

(I hope this was the right forum to post in, I didn't think this fit in the "Job-Related Discussion" Board...!)

Thanks Very Happy

Ah man, great question! I've been wanting to ask this for awhile because I've got a sneaking suspicion I'll be a youngin amongst veterans, even though I'm relatively old for a recent grad. 25, Summer 08 Uni. grad, American (Hawaii). Chee!

From orientation in March, there was a good number (almost half) who had experience teaching in Korea at hagwon or other public schools.

I'm 22... Grad was in June of /08... Didn't get into teacher's college this year, so it seems like a better way to spend my time vis a vis working in a warehouse to pay off my school debt... Freedom from crappy interest rates in 10 months!
