|
|
Hey, I'm wondering if anybody else has been in this situation.
I have extended a visa for another six months. When I originally got the E2, I made sure to get a 're-entry' stamp in my passport. Well, the re-entry stamp in my passport says it's good until a date that has already passed, but I'm still technically on the same visa, and my E2 card has the updated expiry date on it.
I'm off on vacation next month, and I'm wondering if I need to buy another re-entry stamp, even though I'm still on the same visa. Anybody know about this one?
Thanks in advance-- |

I'm pretty sure you need a new re-entry visa. When my colleague got hers, they were so areful to stress that it's for a year, only a year, THIS day, etc. The last thing you want is to be caught in Incheon with no way to get back in.
Can I ask, to extend for 6 months, did you need a new police check, or is that just for new contracts and renewals? |

Blurga, yes you do need a re-entry stamp. 100% for sure on that one.
Roving, any work extension requires a criminal check, unless you received your visa after the new regulations were implemented and you already submitted a criminal check. |

What on earth is an E-2 card? Do you mean ARC? |

Yeah, E-2 card = ARC.
Yeah, a cop check was needed to extend.
Thanks all--I figured as much. I told my handler to ask immie to please give me a new stamp but we don't speak each other's language well, and I don't know if he did it or not even though he nodded a lot and said no problem no problem.
Well, off to the Immigration office I guess...thanks for the tips folks |
