Hey I just went to mail something back to the US (which weighed about 1.5 kgs) and the post office was going to charge me roughly 50k to ship it....they didn't speak much english and I was wondering if there is another way that is cheaper. I have about a month to get it to where it needs to be so the slowest/cheapest way isnt an option. Any help would be great.... |

In my limited experience with postal services here, that sounds about right. Seems to be two options - fast and slow - and the fast option is pricey. I was quoted 14 000 for posting a birthday card using the fast option. I chose the slow option and the card reached the UK in 10 days.
The only thing I can suggest is to take a Korean speaker with you to see if they can help. |

Not sure about Korea to the US, but there are no surface shipments from the US to Korea anymore (with the exception of an M-bag). |

Go sea parcel. You can still mail things TO the states this way. When it hits the docks, it then moves via USPS. |
