To make a long story short, the power box/brick thing from my laptop cord got water in it somehow. I tried to dry it out but I can't seem to charge my laptop with it anymore!!
I know the part of the cord that goes into the socket can be replaced here in Korea, but what about the black box/brick part of the cord that connects into the laptop?? Is there any where I can get one? Yongsan? Or do I need to get one from the U.S. which is where my laptop is from??
The black box/brick says its 100 - 240v, 50-60Hz if that makes a difference...not sure.
Please, oh please help.... |

Bring the broken power block with you to Yongsan electronics center and ask around for one that matches the power output in volts. |

What'll be most important to determine is the output voltage, amperage, and polarity. That's what you'll need to know to replace the transformer (the black box). There should be a label that gives the VA information, and a little diagram that shows the polarity of the plug. |
