depending on how often you see your classes, i find that my introduction lesson often lasts a week or two. just show them pictures of your family, hometown, country (my middle school kids last year really liked looking at some coins i brought in to pass around during class), your favourite things (maybe show them a short youtube video of your favourite sport). afterwards play a game (there are some very good powerpoint jeopardy or bomb games on eSnips) about what you just told them about yourself and where you're from. maybe do some small candy prizes for the winning team.

the kids will be very curious about you, i doubt any of you will run out of things to say during class Very Happy

good luck!

My first lesson that went down a storm was to get the class to write their name (using the alpahbet) on a piece of paper and then I would write on the board to write about school (did they like it or not) their family, their dreams and their hobbies (computer game Rolling Eyes ). After about 20 minutes or so I would call the class captain out and they would come to the front and introduce themselves to me using the piece of paper with their name on it and they would then tell me about themselves with me asking them questions then the rest of the class followed suit.

From what my co teachers have been telling me - they want classes than are concentrated on the spoken aspects of the language ie: ordering food at restaraunts, booking flight tickets etc.
