With all due respect, this is probably one of the most glitch ridden websites the D-Man has ever had the pleasure of visiting.

You try to log in, and it only works about 1 in every 100 attempts.

The log in thing says your passord or user name is invalid when in actual fact,it is valid and operational.

When you attempt to get a new password, the site tells you that there is no user name registered under said e-mail address.

It goes on and on.

Why don't they throw some of their millions into sprucing things up around here and installing softwar that gets the job done?

It happens. My real issue is it will sit and spin and not load often times. Just stop temporarily. It's not hosted well, but it happens to be the main ESL site where English teachers in Korea frequent the most to discuss current happenings. I understand there are other sites such as Ajarn, but they cater to expats in other countries such as Thailand. Each country has one.

The derelict search function is probably the worst thing about this site.

It took me a week or so to finally get 'authorized' to post after registering. I'd been reading for about a week by then and was really getting antsy to post on all manner of things.

Somewhere I've read here that registration and the subsequent email approval was only good for one section of the forums. And if that's true, I didn't realize and must have been trying on the others... not getting logged in, as you said.

Eventually, I replied to the initial email asking what's up? Then one day, 'poof' I was in.

It's like magic.

I think he was commenting on your choice of words for your title.

I actually signed in this morning with no problems for the first time ever.Wow!

You are right,I think Dave's does the absolute minimum to keep the forums together.

I'm automatically signed in each time i come to the site, and have never had a problem with it. Honestly, i have no idea what my password is and would f'd if it ever failed. So unless you are worried about some deviant using your PC and posting unauthorized messages under your name, possibly ruining your good Dave's standing, just click the "remember me" button or whatever it is i clicked so long ago.

Agreed that it does take a ton of time to load sometimes and the search feature is a joke.
