Selling my bike, it's good and reliable and great for getting around town, just put a brand new battery in her for 40 bucks and a new muffler for 65 bucks. Bought it for 700 and maintained it well. It has a front wheel built in lock to prevent theft. This is nice bike, buy it, drive it for a while then sell it for almost the same price you paid for it. Located in Bucheon, you could drive to your place you just can't go on the toll highways as bikes are not allowed on there or I might be able to deliver it to you for a fee depending on where you are. I want 500 or make me an offer. There is a plate on the bike, don't know where the papers are so we can't transfer ownership but no one will ever check anyway. Check out the pics, you can test drive it at bucheon station any weekday after 5 or so. Email me at alex_tobler15 at yahoo dot com. Check out the pics.

Oh ya, it also comes with a fitted tarp cover and a helmet.

Not to piss on your bonfire but its pretty misleading to say no-one will ever check the papers. no registration = no insurance = getting screwed in a very uncomfortable place if you have an accident or the cops take an interest, as they have been increasingly doing recently.. might be ok in the sticks or on a scooter but i would strongly advise against buying and riding an unregistered 125 in/near Seoul. its pretty easy and cheap enough to do things by the book if you're serious about riding over here.

hahaha that is funny, take a look around and see how many bikes ride around with no license plates, and then ask how many people with a 125 have insurance. In all the time I have been riding in Korea I have never been pulled over and since the bike has a plate it hasn't been stolen. Despite what people say cops aren't craking down on anything. It is way easier to see guys wearing no helmet and give them a ticket but that doesn't happen either or running a red light, it takes a lot longer to pull someone over and run the plates on the off chance the bike is not registered to that person in which case you can say it is your friend's bike. The reason I put the info about the non-ownership transfer was to be straight with everyone and those who know about Korea will know that it is all good, so whatever, don't "take a huge risk" hahahaha.

Very wrong and misleading.

1. Cops in Seoul are cracking down and doing random license checks. I see it every week in Jongno-gu. They look for plates, too. Maybe they let 50-year-old Mr. Kim slide on it. Not young people, especially not foreigners.

2. The law is going to change in the next 2 years and all motorcycles will require the MC license. This will bring more random checks.

3. A Korean news channel, on Wednesday, had a video report about stepping up motorcycle stops and enforcement.

4. deizio is right. Have an accident and you are screwed if it's illegal with no insurance.

5. Buying and selling illegal bikes is caustic to bike owners as it encourages theft and the hot bike trade.

Exactly. I refuse to sit quiet while someone sells a potentially stolen bike. Having had my first 125 stolen (my very first bike! sniff...), I now have no doubt it's being ridden illegally.

It's not stolen, I bought it from a dealership in another city, at the time I had no Korean girlfriend and could not speak Korean so the shop owner registered it under his name, if people are so damn paranoid I can make a trip back to the old city, get him to change the ownership over to my girlfriend and then we can transfer the ownership to the new buyer, all takes time and money, being that I don't work in a Hagwon and can't just go to the local office during the day, especially in another city, this might be a problem, so therefore I first give the chance to anyone who wants a bike cheap and easy. As the departure date of September first approaches I would go get the papers and such done during my vacation time. If you don't wanna buy it fine, nobody is making you. I am not trying to trick anyone which is why I put all the info in the first place. I think we are all adults here and we can judge a situation on our own, if you think it is risky don't buy it, if you think you will get in trouble don't buy it, if you don't care and want an easy owner transfer let me know.

I gotta agree. I saw the same piece on the news. Only way around it, move to Uigeongbu. Save yourself a nightmare and do it right.
