I'm not sure if the IRS is trying to contact me by e-mail or if I'm being phished?

Did anyone else get an e-mail about how to sign up for your stimulus rebate before July 31?

I'm hesitant to fill out the info.

Sounds like a scam to me.

If you filed your 2007 tax return and were deemed to qualify for the stimulus rebate, you'd receive it automatically�no forms to fill out, be they paper, electronic, or otherwise.

Almost certainly phishing. The safest thing to do is to go directly to the IRS site: http://www.irs.gov/ Anything you need to know is there.
