Can someone please explain the pros and cons of putting lynx software on an ipod? Just curious as to why people feel the need to do it, isnt apples software good enough for playing music? Also interested in knwoing if its worth giving it a shot. any chance of bricking it?

Do you mean Linux? I haven't tried it but I use Rockbox, an open-source firmware for Ipod. IMO it's better than the original software
