"BEIJING -- Chinese police officials have forced some Beijing bar owners to sign secret pledges promising to prohibit blacks from entering their bars during the Olympics next month, a Hong Kong newspaper says."

It would be great if some hard evidence of this emerged. I think it's time for a western network to show the Chinese how undercover journalism works.

Have you ever been to the sanlitun area of Beijing. I lived there for a year and it is one place where stereotypes are true, every black man is a drug dealer. Tested time and time again, you ask any african guy in that area which the article is focusing on and they will supply drugs of any sort within a few hours at most. So, maybe it is you sensationalising with your topic title, its not keeping all the black visitors out of the all the bars in Beijing, it is trying to clean up the drug riddled area of sanlitun and bar street adjacent.

But still interesting:
Quote:

- An owner said police met with Sanlitun bar reps and told them to monitor black patrons. He said the police told the reps that drug dealers are predominantly black in the area. He said the police did not ask bar owners to ban blacks.

I met a couple drug dealers in Itaewon that were black. Can I call them "black drug dealers", or would that be racist?

I'd ban Canadians. They're the biggest drug users, then they rat out the black man !!

Anyway, China is ultra-racist/ultra-xenophobic. I bet there's gonna be a few big stories from good reporters about racism during the Olympics!

There's too much stories to catch in China, the people there don't seem to understand what racism is, they just do it.
