Hi there,
I have a swarovski scope and binoculars that I would like to send to Austria for cleaning (the cleaning is only done in Austria) - but I want to try and avoid paying customs tax in Korea when it gets sent back to me here. Does anyone know if there is anyway to avoid this? Perhaps there is somewhere in Korea where I can register the serial numbers before they leave Korea? Any advice is really appreciated! Thanks! |

It has something to do with the valuation of the items being shipped...I believe that mark is around $250.00 USD.
If you feel comfortable about lying about their given value...you should be fine.
The consequence is that your shipment won't have the same insurance coverage...depending on what carrier you use...so if the shipment is damaged in the process, you won't be able to claim the true cost of the items.
Catch-22. Good luck!! |
