As I'm going to become a gentleman of standing within the next year or so (Its a secret at the moment so I can't say owt ) I think I might need some decent clobber.
I was in Itaewon and went through the market area and these tailors were inviting me in their shops - I fancy the idea of a couple of hand made suits and a few (black) shirts - how much would it set me back?
Cheers for your input folks! |

It depends on the material they use. I've used Hamiltons shirts (corner store, big blue sign), and some people really like them...HOWEVER, I wouldn't use them again because I had seven shirts made there and told them not to tailor the shirts too tight around my neck, and they didn't listen...so when a gained a few pounds a few months after I bought my shirt - I couldn't button the top button.
Hamiltons shirts is reputable as far as prices go imo, unlike some of the tailor shops in Itaewon. |

How much is the average for a shirt mate? I went into a tailor yesterday but wouldn't quote me a price instead asking me to name a price. I would probably give too high a quote and get ripped off! |

Don't go to Hamilton Shirts. I got my first tailored shirts from Itaewon made there because it seemed popular. The shirts there are pretty low quality, IMO. All one needs to do is look at the plastic buttons they use with Hamilton shirts stamped on them.
I haven't been able to find any shirt tailor I like. Usually, it takes a while to get your fit right so I'd suggest going to a tailor and get one shirt made to start. Then, you can fine tune your fit and get more shirts made.
The best shirts I've had made at Itaewon were at Hahn's. With that said, they haven't been perfect. The last time I went, one of the shirts was missing the bottom button hole and the sleeves were a tad short. Still the best I've been able to find in that area.

At Hamilton shirts the prices are displayed for the different quality material. Choose the material and the shirt will be that price. I think the cheapest is around 25-30,000 won up to around 50-60,000. |
