An interesting blog post about Steve Jobs, his value to Apple stock, and his cancer.

noah wylie is still alive. he can always do the "Pirates of silicon vally" impression of steve as long as he can.

Apple zombies will believe he's still alive. they WANT to believe it, even if it flies against the reality. it's like people at an Elvis impersonators. if the guy's any good, they will swear it's the King himself up there. Logic be damned. it just FEELS like it's the truth......

I will say this- the man sure knows how to sell things. I've never seen one person stretch such minor upgrades to being the next big thing.

If all these rich buggers keep getting cancer, they might invest billions of dollars into research and eventually a cure may be found.

If, might, maybe.

There have always been rich people, there has always been cancer, but the amount of money and the level of medical technology has never been as advanced as now. Maybe.

He ain't dying:
Quote:
Because the conversation was off the record, I cannot disclose what Mr. Jobs told me. Suffice it to say that I didnt hear anything that contradicted the reporting that John Markoff and I did this week. While his health problems amounted to a good deal more than a common bug, they werent life-threatening and he doesnt have a recurrence of cancer. After he hung up the phone, it occurred to me that I had just been handed, by Mr. Jobs himself, the very information he was refusing to share with the shareholders who have entrusted him with their money.

I'm not surprised I have to spell it out for you. You've never been the sharpest guy here. Another lifer worthy of my kill file.

*sigh*

I wonder if they'll cryogenically freeze his head if he dies.

Hmmm....how to respond? Apparently you are unaware that people have been calling the iPhone the Jesus phone. That factoid, coupled with the phrasing of the title of this post, lent itself rather nicely as a somewhat humorous swipe at the aforementioned phone's capabilities w/r/t Steve Job's immortality.

Or, being MM2, you can be a douche and take everything personally.

Really, either one.
