|
|
I have never taken them sealed transcripts in the past, that is 5 trips to the Korean Consulate in Japan. My recruiters(for SMOE) document person just quit and now I'm being told I must take sealed transcripts to the Korean Consulate after I've already ordered transcripts from my University to send to SMOE directly.
I am not happy because had I known this I could have brought those that I have at my Seoul residence with me on my vacation/business trip here in the U.S. Yes, I'm now in America and am waiting to go to the Korean Consulate in Texas as soon as I get my CRC notarized/apostilled.
So, the question is... Do we have to take the Korean Consulate sealed transcripts? |

Some do, some don't. I know that the Toronto Embassy does and that there are others that do. I haven't sent anyone to Texas in awhile, so I can't answer to that specific embassy. The best would be to check the with the specific embassy, or wait for someone to chime in about Texas who has been there since the new regulations went through on Dec. 15 2007. |

I'm just taking an unopened transcript that was sent to me from my University. I hope this is OK. They didn't seem to mind that one of my letters of recommendation was taped shut after it appeared to have been opened. |

As far as I have been told, both the SMOE and the Consulate (at least here in Toronto) need transcripts... The SMOE to give you your official notice of employment, and the Consulate so that they can give you your E2 visa |

As long as your transcript envelope has a stamp on the back saying something on the order of "issued to student: official if unopened", it will be fine. |
