Moving to current events....damn....internets heavy these days....they don't make them internets the way they used to back in 1998!

Edit: I think this one deserves a few smilies:

Smile Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad Crying or Very sad Embarassed

These smilies describe the karmic cycle. First, you're happy. Then you get a bit carried away with your greed for happiness, then you become evil, then you cry because things didn't turn out quite the way you imagined. The last one is for the catholics, in case they feel excluded.

haha, tfunk. The wheel of life... sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down. Wink

Here's the Busan Metro Map with where I think Dadaepo Beach is (Saha-gu?) in the circle with an X.

Does anyone know what stop it would be on the Orange line? And how to get to the concert from there?

EARTH from Japan? I've heard of EARTH from Seattle but I can't imagine them playing in Korea.

Couldn't tell you, Lek. Wario's heard of Shadows Fall though.

Looks like Friday kicks off a whole week of festivals, from Haeundae Beach and Gwangalli Beach, Songdo, to Dadaepo.

What?! Copa Salvo?! Those dudes RULE!! they play great carribean piano jazz. Love those dudes. I'm so bummed, I can't go! Unless I spend my European Vacation money...(seriously considers various devious ways to get an extra couple hundred bucks to go to busan)
Well, Busan people, if you like latin rythyms played by Japanese people, you should totally check this show out. They are really really good.
It pains me to imagine the reception they'll get tho...christ on a bike, I hope people dance.

Well I'm bummed too, Blurga.. I can't go either. Sad

But I can totally live vicariously thru (Youtube, and) being a helicopter mom, from this side of the big lake. (the Atlantic being merely 'the pond')

Copa Salvo clip

Reminds me of the band at Chere's in Maho on St. Martin, could be anywhere from four to fourteen players on any given night.

Does this look right to anyone familiar with the beaches of Busan:

I've seen Shadow's Fall in Seoul (Rolling Hill), Vegas (House of Blues) and Calgary (Monsters of Rock). Musically they are re-worked melodic thrash with catchy clean choruses. Nice guys to shoot the breeze with too.

Outside of SF, I can't say I'm impressed with this year's lineup. I remember when Dark Tranquillity and Rage headlined!

Yeah, seen Shadows fall a few times back in the old country. On record, they're a bit of a generic melodic metalcore type thing, but they're a fun live band. To see them on a beach would be great. Nothing else Impresses me that much. Didnt Deicide play this a few years ago? An odd group to play on a beach in Korea if there ever was one

Arch Enemy also played. I think Nightwish too.

Yeah. It was funny getting pushed aside by an ajuma with Swedish Death Metal as the soundtrack.
