I will share it with you, but I think this is very funny. Tip- When you know you are being filmed, go easy on the soju or you will end up as the butt of the jokes.
Hi all
As a talent agent, I am looking for actors (male and female) for a TV show about Korean tradition and culture. The show will be aired on Arirang TV (the only English Channel in Korea) and actors will travel to Jeolla province with the crew. The show is a documentary and as an actor, you dont actually need to act a lot. The footage you will be in are image shots of foreigners experiencing Korean tradition and culture.
Applicants should satisfy the requirements found below and will be able to attend the audition scheduled on Monday, August 4th at Arirang TV station in Seoul. Shootings will take 4 to 5 days within August and 120,000 Won will be paid each shooting day (Max. 9 hours a day). Travel cost, accommodations and foods will also be paid separately. If you are interested, please send your photos including one in which your face is clearly visible such as headshot to [email protected] (Min-Chul Kim) before 22:00 August 2.
[Requirements]
- Experience: Not necessary but you should be comfortable in front of camera
- Age: 20-40
- Sex: Male and female (couples are O.K)
- Appearance: Non Asian, not necessarily model looking but preferably slim, attractive and unique looking.
- Language: English (not necessarily native)

Ah, but you'd be a TV STAR! Just imagine the women (or men) who would be all over you, spliff.
Plus, a little something for your resume. |

Nah, it doesn't happen as much as you think. I'm sometimes on the show Surprised, and unless you're one of the main characters in the episode, you probably won't get noticed, let alone have women/men all over you. |

Yeah, you're right.
I remember the first time I told a Korean friend that I was going to be on some show called "Surprise." He looked shocked and said that it's a popular show. After I did the show I thought that my friend was lying. Everything's so cheap, and don't get me started on the acting. Nevertheless, it's fun to do once in a while. |

I was told this as a selling point years back when I got offered my first TV spot. I refused for several reasons, but the thing they kept coming back to was why was I saying No when I could be a star on TV. Don't I want to be a star? No understanding whatsoever with the actual reasons behind my refusal to do the show. |

What's funny is that I've done TV work in Korea, (I'm not gonna talk about that ), so I get these "cattle calls" all of the time.
No women or men all over you for being on TV? It's all about how you work it! Don't sit in the back of a crowded bar nursing a pitcher of beer, hoping someone recognizes you. You gotta chat up a sweet you lady with a line like "Would you like to come and see me work at my TV job?" or "I had to switch off my cell phone. My agent keeps calling with more TV job offers."
Got that, spliff? |

| Just curious, but would an African-American qualify as "unique looking"? |

Some production companies will go through the hassle of getting Immi approval - most will not.
If you're not an F series visa - BEWARE! |
