Hello,

As BBQ season descends upon us I visited some neighbourhood grocery stores and butcher shops but I left disappointed. I have dreams of pork chops dancing in my head.

Thus, can anyone please direct me to the Yangpyung Costco? The one near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office stn. I passed it in a cab a few months ago, that's all I've got. The maps provided on the site are terrible. I'm coming from Hongdae. Alternatively, if you have any suggestions on where to find proper bbq meat around Hongdae, I'm all ears (and one watering mouth).

Thanks!

The 7612 will take you right there. Pick up outside Hongik Station, get dropped off about 30 yards from the Costco. Easy as pie. mmmmm pie

Oh, I've seen pork chops. I have purchased pork chops. I have eaten pork chops. All courtesy of Costco (the one near Yangjae stn in Seoul). In any even, something pork related will do. Or nice chicken (i.e. not chicken fat/bones you get at the stores here). I don't eat beef. Mad cow, you know.

Kidding of course. But really, I stay away from beef. I have my reasons.

The pork loin chops at Costco are cheap and very tasty, I do agree Very Happy . How can you go wrong with the best part (no fatty dark meat) of the cut at around 12,000 for about 15 chops? I'm going to Yangjae tomorrow.

From the Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station, exit number 4, go behind the exit, i.e. go up the stairs and turn around on the street. You should come to a corner very quickly. Take a right and walk straight for a couple blocks. CostCo is on your right.

Enjoy.
