If you're posting during summer break you either work in public school and have a camp to teach or you're like me and foolishily decided to have a staycation. Well, to answer my own qustion I've accomplished SFA this summer vacation with the exception of finishing a couple of shows that I Downloaded and finishing a DS game that I put off these past couple of weeks I can honestly say that I could not have been more useless if I tried. A job extremely well done. Very Happy

So, what did you do during your vacation?

I haven't taken vacation yet. It's technically vacation in PS schools, but I'm working for more pay so that's what I'm accomplishing. I guess some of you already took your 1 week as hagwons typically give it in the 3rd or 4th week of July. Many PS teachers will take vacation in August. I've got 2 more weeks of work and counting the days for my extended time off.

Aug 8-20. This is my mythical Vacation, a 'staycation', like yours OP. I plan to tinker, putter, be lame, lackadaisical, slothful, self-absorbed, turned on, dropped out, switched off, tuned out, out to lunch, and lost in space like a headcase. It's so close I'm almost comatose in anticipation. At the end someone will tell me the war is over and I can come out of the jungle.

I'm on break from my uni. but I teach a writing workshop twice a week. The hours aren't bad but for every hour in class, two/three hours are spent correcting the essays. Still, no big deal.

I go to the gym, played some Crysis as well (had a new video card 8800 GTS shipped here, man it's awesome), watch a lot of Dodger/Angel games on the comp, study Korean, will watch the olympics. I should work on the awful, crappy screenplays I attempt to write, but giving that a break atm.

What did I accomplish? I managed to find two pairs of blue jeans. They weren't expensive, and they don't look like something worn in an '80s hair metal music vid.

I've managed to get my undead rogue up to level 57. Wow is an awesome game, but I get lazy with leveling.

So far, since July 18, I've stimulated the K brewing industry (and the country's economy) by consuming massive quantities of Hite; and attacked a Korean. This Wednesday I'm off to Canuck-land and back-to-back Alaska cruises. I'm 'steeling' myself for my yearly dose of reverse culture shock - "I see fat people". Most of the whales I will see in Alaska will be onboard in one of the five swimming pools. Wink

Yeah, its comin to that time..the last stretch before we have to teach another semester. Makes you think "what the hell have a I done over this vacation"?

I think Ive been pretty productive -
first 2 weeks - extra evening classes at my uni,
3rd week - cambodia,
4th week - chill, gymfest, hungout with friends from the UK, mudfest,
5thweek - English camp at public school,
6th week - YBM summer camp
(this coming week)
7th - 10th week - study korean everyday in kangnam, hangout with korean friends and try to have as much conversation as possible in korean, prepare to get masters in teaching back home in the UK.

Got my timetable for teaching next semester - Friday off and all classes start in the afternoon. Maybe study st Sogang.

Not a bad vacation but more traveling would have been good.
